The series of exhibitions/installations continues as MAXXI Architecture experiments a different way to interpret monographic exhibits. These four exhibitions are to be interpreted as four distinct chapters of a single story or – better yet – as a single slice of the complex world of contemporary architecture.
The four invited architects who created the four installations are given the opportunity to represent themselves and their relationship with Nature in the spot assigned to them as well as to display one or more of their projects related to this issue.

The MAXXI Museum is hosting the first retrospective monograph dedicated in Italy to Gerrit Rietveld: architect, craftsman and carpenter, interior designer and furniture designer, as well as teacher, skilled exhibition designer and set-up expert. Over 100 works will be on show, including drawings, photos and models, designed to offer an all-encompassing overview of the career of the Dutch genius.
