Rome has not dedicated a large exhibition to this great Venetian master since 1937, in part because moving the large canvasses is a complicated affair. This is a unique event and well worth the chance to see and admire the almost fifty works of art on display for the occasion in the beautiful rooms of the Quirinale Stables. Jacopo Robusti, known as Tintoretto is one of the greatest exponents of the Venetian school and was probably the last great painter of the Italian Renaissance. The exhibition in the Quirinale Stables has therefore set itself the task of comprehensively illustrating his work by presenting the three main genres of the great Venetian master: religious paintings, mythological subjects, and portraits.
