The “Artes Mechanicae” exhibition dedicated to theatrical machines created by Luciano Minestrella is programmed at Rome’s Casa dei Teatri e Scuderie. The visitor is invited to follow a tour that illustrates the history of theatre from the Renaissance to gadgets used in modern day theatres. The artist has created small-scale works of the latest extraordinary theatrical machines through the technique of detail and filing. A craftsmanship that becomes the art of carpentry, chiseled wood which reproduce items and gadgets used hundreds of years ago and others that are more modern with a fantastic design filled with echoes of the past. The exhibition is promoted by Roma Capitale, Biblioteche di Roma and the Teatro di Roma in collaboration with the Zètema Progetto Cultura cultural project and is curated by Luciano Minestrella and Vera Soledad Minestrella de.
