PAUL KLEE AND ITALY

The GNAM National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art announces a large-scale exhibit dedicated to the relationship Paul Klee (1879-1940) had with Italy. The show features over 100 works by Klee and other Italian and non-Italian artists such as Kandinsky, Moholy Nagy, Max Bill, Albers, Licini, Soldati, Perilli, and Novelli etc. The Paul Klee and Italy exhibition analyses the influence that Italian culture and landscapes had upon the artist’s work in reference to the various phases of his artistic biography from the beginning of the Bauhaus period to his final solitary years in Bern.
