The Macro Museum is presenting the personal exhibition of Japanese artist Nagasawa. This new, large show featuring a group of more recent works was designed to pay due homage to one of the most important contemporary sculptors on the international artistic scene. His work reveals the constant concurrence of two poles – the East and the West – which contribute to the definition of the forms in a precision derived from the balance between the parts. Seven large groups of models sculpted in marble, wood and metal are on display: Epicarmo (2012 – a totally new work being shown for the first time), Iride (1993), Ombra verde (2000), Yugao-Jole (2005 – 2013), Tate no me (2007), Selinunte – Dormiveglia (2009). The project was designed and created in collaboration with Giacomo Guidi Arte Contemporanea and the Fondazione Italia Giappone (Italy Japan Foundation).
